Abstract:
A portable body fluid drainage device for simply and stably sucking body fluids and handling chest diseases such as pleural disease, pneumothorax and after surgery for lung, heart, chest wall, pleural or esophageal diseases. The portable body fluid drainage device includes a case in which a predetermined space is provided, a vacuum pump that is connected to a chest drainage tube which is inserted into a pleural cavity of a patient through a pipe path so as to suck body fluids and air inside the pulmonary pleura, a pressure sensor disposed in the case, for measuring a pressure in a patient's body, and a controller that is disposed in the case and is connected to the vacuum pump and the pressure sensor, wherein, when a pressure in the pulmonary pleura is greater than a base value, the controller drives the vacuum pump so as to suck air and body fluids inside the pulmonary pleura.
