Abstract:
Disclosed is a portable communication device wherein an image included in a standby display is changed with an easy operation. The cellular phone is capable of having the state thereof changed to an opened state and a closed state by opening/closing the upper portion and the lower portion, and is provided with flash memory which stores a plurality of images, a selecting unit which selects (S13) a target image from among the stored images, a closed state detecting unit which detects the closed state, and a display control unit which controls image display and displays an image of the standby display that includes, in a background image, the target image selected by means of the selecting unit during a standby time. Corresponding to the change from the state wherein the closed state detecting unit detects the closed state to the state wherein the closed state detecting unit does not detect the closed state (YES in S09), the display control unit, in a state wherein the standby display is displayed, displays (S14) a new standby display, which includes, in a background image, the new target image selected by means of the selecting unit after the background image to be included in the standby image is selected.
