Abstract:
The present invention relates to a portable device for identification of surgical items with magnetic markers, method for identifying surgical objects with magnetic markers and system for the prevention of retention of surgical items with magnetic markers. The present invention may be used at surgical centres with the aim of detecting surgical items/objects (5) retained inside the patient after surgery. The object of the present invention is to provide an instrument that offers support in the location of surgical items (5) retained inside body cavities, in order to detect artefacts overlooked after surgery, using a device and specific objects and a method and system for the identification of such items.
