Abstract:
Disclosed is a portable electronic device that has an external form formed by a first main surface, a second main surface facing the first main surface, and side surfaces sandwiched between the first main surface and the second main surface; is provided with a case and a display unit that is disposed in the interior of the case and can display images on both the first main surface-side surface and the second main surface-side surface, wherein said case is created from a transparent material and the case on the area corresponding to said display unit is made transparent; and displays images based on at least either scale or orientation in the screen display area of the display unit or switches between screens that display on the basis of the orientation of the case.
