Abstract:
This portable electronic device is provided with a receiver, a sound output unit, and a control unit for controlling the receiver and the sound output unit. If the ear of a user of the portable electronic device is near and/or touching the portable electronic device when the control unit is performing a sound output process in which sound is outputted to the sound output unit, the control unit performs a sound reproduction process in which the sound that was outputted to the sound output unit in the sound output process is reproduced and outputted to the receiver.
