The present invention relates to a portable lighting device. In the portable lighting device, a solar cell, a plurality of display lights, and a handle may be disposed on a main body consisting of a front case and a rear case such that the portable lighting device may be used as a tripod for a vehicle and as a portable flashlight when the vehicle breaks down. Also, a U-shaped seating part may be disposed on the upper portion of the main body such that the lighting device is adjusted at a fixed angle. On the inside of the main body, a battery charged with power generated in the solar cell may be electrically connected to a main board so as to turn an LED of the lighting device on/off by means of the operation of a power switch disposed on a side of the main body. According to the present invention, the portable lighting device may be used as a safety tripod for a vehicle or as a portable flashlight using the solar cell when the vehicle breaks down, and simultaneously, the portable lighting device may be safely received in the upper inner portion of the main body so as to prevent the lighting device from being damaged by external impacts.
