A portable power supply for electrical appliances (900) is disclosed that comprising of a wearable frame (905), a power generation unit (910), a fuel supply container (920), and an electrical appliance, which supplies electrical power from the electrical power generation unit and may be attached to the frame. Also disclosed is a method of using a portable electrical power unit with an appliance by storing a fuel supply in a container, converting the fuel to electrical power using an electrical power generator, operating an electrical appliance, the operator carrying the container and the electrical power generator while using the appliance.
