Description:
Portable and practical, functional oxygen tube, used for oxygen support Technical area

The invention consists of the oxygen tube which eases the oxygen (breathable, standardized, medical pure oxygen, 99% pure) support, which has a structure suitable for human usage, and its parts consisting of the entireness.

Known situation of the technique

The most important one of the materials required for forming the normal chemical reactions in the cell is no doubt oxygen which is transported to the cells by the circulation system. It is known that there are 78% nitrogen, 21% oxygen and 1% carbon dioxide and noble gases in the air we breathe. The components in the air are states as the gases which are always in the air and mostly the amounts of which don't change (nitrogen, oxygen and the other noble gases) (1), the gases, the amounts of which are increasing and decreasing (carbon dioxide, water vapor, ozone) (2) and the gases which are not present always (pollutants) (3). The air pollution can be defined as the pollutants (in solid, liquid and gas states), which affect the health of the living creatures and/or cause material damages, reaching the amount and intensity over the normal.

The daily increases in the air pollutants may cause various acute health problems. For example, increase in the concentration of the air pollutant parameters causes increase in the asthma attacks. Chronical effects emerge in the health as a result of being exposed to pollutants for a long time. In the studies made in the United States of America and Netherland, it was determined that the lives of the ones living in the regions with air pollution is 1 - 2 years shorter than the ones who live in the regions where there is no pollution. According to the 2011 report of the World Health Organization (WHO) it is predicted that external environment air pollution causes 1,3 million deaths across the world and medium income countries consist of the majority of this value.

The health effect of the air pollution ranges from cough and bronchitis to heart disease and lung cancer. Even though the negative effects of the pollution is observed even in healthy persons, some sensitive groups are affected more easily and more severe problems emerge. One of these groups is elderly people. Because of the decrease in the physiological capacity and physiological defense mechanism functions, the increase in the chronical diseases, elderly is effected more easily from the air pollution compared with the population in the normal age group. Small children, because of the development of the defense mechanism which is not completed, the higher ventilation (breathing) speeds per body mass unit and more contact with the external environment, is another sensitive group. In addition to the age status, the diseases which cause narrowing in the air channel also increase the sensitivity against pollutants. The studies made have indicated that as the pollution increases, there is increase in the diseases such as asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases (COPD). The low living standards such as crowded living, inadequate sanitation (environmental hygiene), and malnutrition are among the factors affecting the sensitivity. The ones living under these conditions are face to face with the infection disease problems. Therefore the results of the air pollution are affected more. Air pollution is a very important problem in the world too. According to a news published in 2014, "A travelling company, located in central Henan in China, seeing that the people in Zhengzhou is virtually breathless because of intense air pollution, came to rescue with plastic bags which were filled with the air of Mount Laojun, which is about 200 kilometers to the city.

For this "aid", which the company did for promotion, the public made long queues. Thanks to the oxygen support which is limited with 20 air bags in total and several minutes for everybody, children, youth, elderly had the opportunity to fill their lungs with clean air.

It was observed that the people breathing the clean air with masks covering their mouths and noses squeezed the bags with their hands to completely consume the last air remaining." Such and similar news reveal what people can do for the clean air need, even if there isn't any health problem. Oxygen support is a type of intervention seen frequently during the treatment of various disorders in the health area. This application is usually made through fixed oxygen tubes. The patient is usually under inpatient treatment. There isn't any derivative which provides practical usage in the daily life. When the patient treated as inpatient moves for daily needs, the oxygen tube, as a set, is used with a wheel mechanism which can move together with the patient.

Both during the daily usage and in cases where the patients treated as inpatient leave the bed for a short time, no solution, which is the subject to the practical usage, is presented.

Short description of the invention

The invention consists of the oxygen tube which eases the oxygen (breathable, standardized, medical pure oxygen, 99% pure) support, which has a structure suitable for human usage, and its parts consisting of the entireness. If it is needed to clarify this definition, a solution is presented where people can get oxygen support through tubes with sized that can be carried easily both during the daily life and within the process where they are treated as inpatient. Here, an oxygen tube which has oxygen spraying system and at least one lid which can also be used as mask are presented. There is an orifice structure which enables the oxygen passage on the lid. The lid, after removing from the tube, is reversed and attached to the spraying head such that the oxygen release point on the tube and the oxygen passage orifice on the lid coincide. In the next stage, the oxygen is sprayed in spray style and the mask is placed to the human face and normal breathing is provided. There are refreshing savor buffers such as natural mint-eucalyptus mixture etc. which can be used optionally inside the mask.

Benefits of the invention

A benefit of the invention is that pure oxygen support can be taken in a practical way in the city life always containing polluted air conditions and in places where smoke is exposed to such that the health is affected.

Another benefit is that it establishes a solution which enables comfortable movements in cases where oxygen support based on the device is required home. Another benefit of the invention is that it has an identity supporting psychologically with the comforting effect.

Another benefit of the invention is that it provides the means for providing oxygen support during sport exercises.

Another benefit of the invention is that it could provide it in the disposable property of the oxygen tube definition thanks to the product, the subject of the invention.

The invention consist of the oxygen tube which eases providing the oxygen support in a structure compatible with human usage and the parts consisting of the entirety. The main parts are oxygen chamber (1), spraying apparatus (2), the lid that can be used as mask (3), and the external lid (4). There is oxygen gas with clean air quality, which can be breathed, inside the oxygen chamber (1). It can be said that this gas is the same gas with the gas in the oxygen tubes which are usually bulky and don't address the practical usage in the daily life. Spraying apparatus (2) is used for spraying this gas outside. No propellant gas is used which ensures that the gas exits by means of the spraying apparatus; the oxygen is sprayed with its own pressure. With the pressure forming when the spraying apparatus (2) is pressed, the oxygen gas is sprayed outside from the oxygen release point (5) which is on the apparatus.

Now the clean air is not inside the oxygen tube, but it is started to be served to the external world. Two kinds of properties may be included in the system in the spraying action. The first one is the linear transfer system which provides continuous release and the second one is the cycling valve control system where the oxygen service is off after a certain amount of release in every press. In the linear transfer system, when the spraying apparatus is pressed once, the oxygen service continues until the pressing action is given up. In the cycling valve control system, after pressing one times, for example the spraying action continues for a period of 3 s while it would be required to release the spraying apparatus again and repress if it is wanted that the spraying action continues. To the top part of the spraying apparatus (2), the lid that can be used as mask (3) is placed. This lid has two tasks. The first task is the package lid which cuts the interaction of the tube with the external environment in cases where the oxygen tube is not used, the second task is using it as the mask with the structure easing the breathing of the oxygen gas sprayed during the oxygen breathing. The lid is separated from the surface for usage as mask. The external lid on the lid (4) is removed and the oxygen passage orifice (6) which is on the lid which can be used as mask (3) and the oxygen release point (5) which is on the spraying apparatus (2) are unified. The oxygen release point (5), with the characteristic of channel structure extending to outside, is separated into the derivatives. Therefore the spraying action which will take place after the unification procedure now will be released to the environment which looks like funnel structure inside the lid, not directly to the air. When the user places his/her face to the external part of this environment which resembles the funnel structure such that his/her mouth and nose are covered, the oxygen gas which has the identity of sprayed clean air can be directly breathed from the funnel shaped internal surface of the structure of the lid which can be used as mask (3). In the breathing process, it is in question that the pure oxygen is replaced inside the mask after taken by the user. In order to discharge the breath filled inside the mask, there are air discharge channels (7) within the mask. The channel structure in question has the property that it will discharge the air blown inside (the breath given) from the mask orifice (the position to which the human face is placed). It has the filtering characteristic that the passage of the pure oxygen, newly sprayed, from the oxygen passage orifice (6) is not allowed.

The information below may be presented on the filling properties and packaging structure of the product:

The tin box structure, which is tested, with non-oxidative steel alloy, compatible with the international norms is used as the package. 10 bar standard filling is made to the tube. 400 ml empty volume stores 4 I oxygen with 10 bar filling.

The filled tube's 50°C thermal test results were found suitable. The maximum filling pressure is 12 bars and 10 bar filling is made as a standard.
