Abstract:
A slip cover for a portable restroom is disclosed. The slip cover includes a top panel, a first side panel, a back panel, a second side panel, and one or more vent openings. The top panel includes a riser vent opening. The first side panel extends from the top panel and includes one or more first side fasteners. The back panel extends from the top panel and includes one or more back first fasteners corresponding to the one or more first side fasteners and one or more back second fasteners. The second side panel extends from the top panel and includes one or more second side fasteners corresponding to the one or more back second fasteners. The one or more vent openings correspond to vents for the portable restroom.

Claims

We claim:

1. A slip cover for a portable restroom, the slip cover comprising: a top panel including a riser vent opening, a top panel first side edge, a top panel back edge adjacent the top panel first side edge, a top panel second side edge adjacent the top panel back edge, and a top panel front edge adjacent the top panel first side edge and the top panel second side edge; a first side panel extending from the top panel first side edge, the first side panel including one or more first side fasteners; a back panel extending from the top panel back edge, the back panel including one or more back first fasteners corresponding to the one or more first side fasteners, and one or more back second fasteners; a second side panel extending from the top panel second side edge, the second side panel including one or more second side fasteners corresponding to the one or more back second fasteners; and one or more vent openings corresponding to vents on the portable restroom, the one or more vent openings being located in at least one of the first side panel, the back panel, and the second side panel.

The slip cover of claim 1, further comprising: a door portion including a front panel in the shape of a door for the portable restroom, the front panel including a handle cut out for a handle of the door, and a slip panel joined to the front panel at a door seam along an edge of the door, the slip panel including a door slip panel edge extending across the front panel and not joined to the front panel forming a pocket for a top of the door.

3. The slip cover of claim 2, wherein the front panel includes an occupancy cut out for viewing an occupancy of the portable restroom.

4. The slip cover of claim 2, wherein the door portion includes a door slip corner joined to the front panel at a corner of the front panel opposite the slip panel, the door slip corner including a door slip panel edge not joined to the front panel forming a second pocket for a door corner.

5. The slip cover of claim 1, wherein the one or more vent openings includes a mesh material.

6. The slip cover of claim 1, further comprising: a front overhang extending from the top panel front edge, the front overhang being shaped so as to not overlap with a door of the portable restroom.

The slip cover of claim 6, further comprising: a first side front panel extending down from the front overhang and connected to the first side panel at a first side front corner; and a second side front panel extending down from the front overhang and connected to the second side panel at a second side front corner.

8. The slip cover of claim 8, further comprising: a first side flap portion extending from the first side front panel and configured to fold back and fasten to a first side flap fastener when the portable restroom is in use; and a second side flap portion extending from the second side front panel and configured to fold back and fasten to a second side flap fastener when the portable restroom is in use.

9. The slip cover of claim 1, wherein the top panel includes a light opening.

10. The slip cover of claim 1, further comprising: a first side front panel extending from the first side panel forming a first side front panel corner there between, the first side front panel corner being adjacent to the front side top edge; and a second side front panel extending from the second side panel forming a second side front panel corner there between, the second side front panel corner being adjacent to the second side top edge.

11. The slip cover of claim 10, wherein the second side front panel includes one or more second side door fasteners corresponding to one or more door fasteners for a door portion of the slip cover.

The slip cover of claim 1, wherein the first side panel includes a first side top edge joined to the top panel first side edge, the back panel includes a back top edge joined to the top panel back edge, and the second side panel includes a second side top edge joined to the top panel second side edge.

13. The slip cover of claim 1, wherein a graphic is applied to the slip cover.

14. A slip cover for a portable restroom, the slip cover comprising: a top panel including a riser vent opening, a top panel first side edge, a top panel back edge adjacent the top panel first side edge, a top panel second side edge adjacent the top panel back edge, and a top panel front edge adjacent the top panel first side edge and the top panel second side edge; a first side panel extending from the top panel, the first side panel including a first side top edge connected to the top panel first side edge; a back panel extending from the top panel, the back panel including a back top edge connected to the top panel back edge, the back panel being connected to the first side panel forming a first side corner there between; a second side panel extending from the top panel, the second side panel including a second side top edge connected to the top panel second side edge, the second side panel being connected to the back panel forming a second side corner there between; a first side front panel connected to the first side panel forming a first side front panel corner there between, the first side front panel corner being located opposite the first side corner relative to the first side panel; a second side front panel connected to the second side panel forming a second side front panel corner there between, the second side front panel corner being located opposite the second side corner relative to the second side panel; and one or more vent openings corresponding to vents on the portable restroom, the one or more vent openings being located in at least one of the first side panel, the back panel, and the second side panel. slip cover of claim 14, further comprising: a door portion including a front panel in the shape of a door for the portable restroom, the front panel including a handle cut out for a handle of the door, a slip panel joined to the front panel at a door seam along an edge of the door, the slip panel including a door slip panel edge extending across the front panel and not joined to the front panel forming a pocket for a top of the door, a door slip corner joined to the front panel at a corner of the front panel opposite the slip panel, the door slip corner including a door slip panel edge not joined to the front panel forming a second pocket for a door corner, and one or more door fasteners; wherein the second side front panel includes one or more second side door fasteners corresponding to the one or more door fasteners.

16. The slip cover of claim 14, wherein the one or more vent openings includes a mesh material.

17. The slip cover of claim 14, wherein the first side panel, the back panel, and the second side panel are an integral piece of material, and the first side corner and the second corner are folds in the integral piece of material.

18. The slip cover of claim 14, wherein the first side corner and the second side corner are stitched seams.

19. The slip cover of claim 14, wherein a graphic is applied to the slip cover.

20. A slip cover for a portable restroom including a riser vent and a door, the slip cover comprising: a top panel including a riser vent opening configured to align with the riser vent, a first side panel connected to the top panel and extending from the top panel, the first side panel including a first side vent opening configured to align with a first vent opening of the portable restroom, and one or more first side fasteners; a back panel connected to the top panel adjacent the first side panel and extending from the top panel, the back panel including a back vent opening configured to align with a second vent opening of the portable restroom, one or more back first fasteners configured to fasten to the one or more first side fasteners, and one or more back second fasteners; a second side panel connected to the top panel adjacent the back panel and extending from the top panel, the second side panel including a second side vent opening configured to align with a third vent opening of the portable restroom, and one or more second side fasteners configured to fasten to the one or more back second fasteners; a first side front panel connected to the first side panel forming a first side front panel corner there between, the first side front panel corner being located opposite the first side corner relative to the first side panel; and a second side front panel connected to the second side panel forming a second side front panel corner there between, the second side front panel corner being located opposite the second side corner relative to the second side panel, the second side front panel including one or more second side door fasteners; and a door portion including a front panel configured to cover the door, the front panel including a handle cut out for a handle of the door, a slip panel connected to the front panel and configured to form a pocket for a top of the door, a door slip corner connected to the front panel and configured to form a second pocket for a corner of the door, and one or more door fasteners configured to fasten to the one or more second side door fasteners.

Description:
PORTABLE RESTROOM SLIP COVER

BACKGROUND

Field of the Invention

[01] The present invention relates generally to a slip cover for a portable restroom. Related Art

[02] Portable restrooms are often used at residential and commercial job sites, weddings, outdoor parties, sporting events, and other events. The image of a portable restroom may be unsightly, may clutter the landscape, spoil the decor of outdoor events, or intrude on the intimacy of private parties. Temporary fencing is sometimes used to conceal groups of portable restrooms.

[03] U.S. Patent No. 6,378,142 to J. Gray discloses a portable, private toilet having a frame type covered in canvas around three sides of a folding frame supporting a toilet seat. A disposable plastic bag is used under the toilet seat, thus allowing easy cleanup after bathroom duties. The frame is held shut by the use of hook and loop fasteners. The frame folds flat and is provided with a handle for ease of carrying, storage and transport.

SUMMARY OF THE DISCLOSURE

[04] In one aspect the present disclosure is directed to a slip cover for a portable restroom is disclosed. The slip cover includes a top panel, a first side panel, a back panel, a second side panel, and one or more vent openings. The top panel includes a riser vent opening, a top panel first side edge, a top panel back edge adjacent the top panel first side edge, a top panel second side edge adjacent the top panel back edge, and a top panel front edge adjacent the top panel first side edge and the top panel second side edge.

[05] The first side panel extends from the top panel first side edge. The first side panel includes one or more first side fasteners. The back panel extends from the top panel back edge. The back panel includes one or more back first fasteners corresponding to the one or more first side fasteners, and one or more back second fasteners. The second side panel extends from the top panel second side edge. The second side panel includes one or more second side fasteners corresponding to the one or more back second fasteners. The one or more vent openings correspond to vents on the portable restroom. The one or more vent openings are located in at least one of the first side panel, the back panel, and the second side panel.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

[15] The device disclosed herein includes a slip cover for a portable restroom. In embodiments, the slip cover includes multiple panels that may be connected by seams or fasteners including a door panel that fits over the door of the portable restroom. The slip cover may disguise or camouflage the portable restroom and may protect the portable restroom from damage.

[16] FIG. 1 is a perspective view of an embodiment of a slip cover 100 over a portable restroom 10. The slip cover 100 may include a body portion 105 and a door portion 160. The body portion 105 may include a top panel 110, and three side panels. The body portion 105 may also include one or more front panels, such as front overhang 150, first side front panel 128, and second side front panel 148. The three side panels and the front overhang 150 extend down from top panel 110, and may be integral to top panel 110 or may be joined to top panel 110. The first side front panel 128 and second side front panel 148 may be joined or integral to top panel 110, a side panel, or front overhang 150.

[17] FIG. 2 is an exploded view of the slip cover 100 of FIG. 1. The top panel 110 may be a rectangular or square panel. Top panel 110 may match or have dimensions similar to the roof of a portable restroom. Top panel 110 may include riser vent opening 111. Riser vent opening 111 may be circular, square, or rectangular and may match the cross section of the riser vent 50 (shown in FIG. 1) of the portable restroom 10. Top panel 110 may also include one or more light openings 112. Light openings 112 may be circular, square, rectangular, or other geometric shapes. Top panel 110 may further include cross-straps 113 extending across light openings 112. The embodiment shown in FIG. 1 includes one light opening 112 with two cross-straps 113 oriented crosswise to each other. Top panel 110 may include a top panel first side edge 114, a top panel back edge 115 adjacent the top panel first side edge 114, a top panel second side edge 116 adjacent the top panel back edge 115, and a top panel front edge 117 adjacent the top panel first side edge 114 and the top panel second side edge 116.

[18] The three side panels may include a first side panel 120, a second side panel 140, and a back panel 130. The three side panels may include one or more vent openings located in at least one of the first side panel 120, a second side panel 140, and a back panel 130. First side panel 120 may extend from top panel first side edge 114 and may have a rectangular shape. First side panel 120 may include one or more first side vent openings 121. First side vent openings 121 may include a mesh material. First side vent openings 121 are configured to align with air vents of the portable restroom 10. First side panel 120 may include a first side top edge 124. When extending from top panel first side edge 114, first side panel 120 may be integral to top panel 110 or may be otherwise joined to top panel 110. In the embodiment illustrated, first side top edge 124 is joined to top panel first side edge 114 forming a first side corner; the first side corner is a seam formed by a joining method, such as stitching, gluing, or fastening. A fastener such as a hook and loop fastener may be used. In other embodiments, first side panel 120 is integral to top panel 110 and first side corner is a fold in the integral piece.

[19] First side panel 120 may also include one or more first side fasteners 122 along an edge of first side panel 120. First side panel 120 may further include anchor weight 125 located distal to first side top edge 124. [20] In the embodiment illustrated, first side front panel 128 is a rectangular panel integral to first side panel 120. First side front panel 128 extends from front panel adjacent top panel 110 and is configured to cover a portion of the front of the portable restroom 10 adjacent the door of the portable restroom 10. First side front panel corner 129 is located between first side front panel 128 and first side panel 120. As illustrated, first side front panel corner 129 is a fold in the integral piece of material that forms first side front panel 128 and first side panel 120. In other embodiments, first side front panel corner 129 is a seam formed by a joining process, such as stitching, gluing, or fastening.

[21] First side front panel 128 may also include a first side slip corner 126 distal to top panel 310 and first side panel 320. First side slip corner 126 includes first side slip edge 127 that is not joined to the first side front panel 128 forming a pocket that is configured to receive a corner of the portable restroom adjacent the door of the portable restroom. First side slip edge 127 may include an elastic band.

[22] Back panel 130 may extend from top panel back edge 115 and may have the shape of a rectangle, peakhead, extended half round, an extended full chord, extended ellipse, or other geometric shape. Back panel 130 may include one or more back vent openings 131. Back vent openings 131 may include a mesh material. Back vent openings 131 are configured to align with air vents of the portable restroom 10. Back panel 130 may include a back top edge 135. When extending from top panel back edge 115, back panel 130 may be integral to top panel 110 or may be otherwise joined to top panel 110. In the embodiment illustrated, back top edge 135 is joined to top panel back edge 115 forming a back corner; the back corner is a seam formed by a joining method, such as stitching, gluing, or fastening. A fastener such as a hook and loop fastener may be used. In other embodiments, back panel 130 is integral to top panel 110 and back corner is a fold in the integral piece. Top panel back edge 115 and the back corner are adjacent the top panel first side edge 114 and the first side corner.

[23] Back panel 130 may also include one or more back first fasteners 132 along an edge of back panel 130 and one or more back second fasteners 133 along another edge of back panel 130, opposite back first fasteners 132. Back first fasteners 132 are configured to fasten with first side fasteners 122. Back panel 130 may further include an anchor weight (not shown) located near an edge of back panel 130 opposite back top edge 135. [24] Second side panel 140 may extend from top panel second side edge 116 and may have a rectangular shape. Second side panel 140 may include one or more second side vent openings 141. Second side vent openings 141 may include a mesh material. Second side vent openings 141 are configured to align with air vents of the portable restroom 10. Second side panel 140 may include a second side top edge 142. When extending from top panel second side edge 116, second side panel 140 may be integral to top panel 110 or may be otherwise joined to top panel 110. In the embodiment illustrated, second side top edge 142 is joined to top panel second side edge 116 forming a second side corner; the second side corner is a seam formed by a joining method, such as stitching, gluing, or fastening. A fastener such as a hook and loop fastener may be used. In other embodiments, second side panel 140 is integral to top panel 110 and second side corner is a fold in the integral piece. Top panel second side edge 116 and the second side corner are adjacent top panel back edge 115 and the back corner, and opposite the top panel first side edge 114 and the first side corner.

[25] Second side panel 140 may also include one or more second side fasteners 143 along an edge of second side panel 140. Second side fasteners 143 are configured to fasten with back second fasteners 133. Second side panel 140 may further include anchor weight 145 located distal to second side top edge 142.

[26] In the embodiment illustrated, second side front panel 148 is a rectangular panel integral to second side panel 140. Second side front panel 148 extends from front panel adjacent top panel 110 and is configured to cover a portion of the front of the portable restroom 10 adjacent the door of the portable restroom 10. Second side front panel corner 149 is located between second side front panel 148 and second side panel 140. As illustrated, second side front panel corner 149 is a fold in the integral piece of material that forms second side front panel 148 and second side panel 140. In other embodiments, second side front panel corner 149 is a seam formed by a joining process, such as stitching, gluing, or fastening.

[27] Second side front panel 148 may also include a second side slip corner 146 located distal to top panel 110 and second side panel 140. Second side slip corner 146 includes second side slip edge 147 that is not joined to the second side front panel 148 forming a pocket that is configured to receive a corner of the portable restroom adjacent the door of the portable restroom. Second side slip edge 147 may include an elastic band. Second side front panel 148 may include one or more second side door fasteners 144 opposite second side front panel corner 149.

[28] Front overhang 150 may extend from top panel front edge 117. When front overhang 150 extends from top panel front edge 117, front overhang 150 may be integral to top panel 110 or may be otherwise joined to top panel 110. Front overhang 150 may be shaped so as to not overlap with a door of the portable restroom. In the embodiment illustrated, front overhang 150 is joined to top panel front edge 117 forming a front corner; the front corner is a seam formed by a joining method such as stitching, gluing, or fastening. A fastener such as a hook and loop fastener may be used. In other embodiments, front overhang is integral to top panel 110 and front corner is a fold in the integral piece. Top panel front edge 117 is adjacent top panel first side edge 114 and top panel second side edge 116, and opposite top panel back edge 115. The front corner is adjacent the first side corner and the second side corner, and adjacent the back corner.

[29] Front overhang 150 may be configured to extend to the top of a door panel such as an arched door panel (illustrated in FIGS. 2 and 3) or a rectangular door panel (illustrated in FIGS. 4 and 5). Front overhang 150 may have the shape of a rectangle, peakhead, extended half round, extended full chord, extended ellipse, or other geometric shapes.

[30] FIG. 3 is a back view of the arched door portion 160 of FIG. 2. Referring to FIGS. 2 and 3, arched door portion 160 includes arched front panel 161, arched slip panel 162, door slip corners 165, and one or more door fasteners 164. Arched front panel 161 has the shape of an extended half round. Arched slip panel 162 has the shape of an extended half round, a half round or semi-circle, or a full chord. Arched slip panel 162 includes door slip panel edge 167. Door slip panel edge 167 may extend across arched front panel 161. Door slip panel edge 167 is not attached to arched front panel 161 and may include an elastic material. Arched slip panel 162 forms door seam 163 with arched front panel 161 across the top of arched door portion 160. Door seam 163 may span across the top of arched door portion 160 to each side of door slip panel edge 167 forming a pocket to receive the top of the portable restroom door. Door seam 163 may be formed by a joining process, such as stitching or gluing.

[31] Door slip corners 165 are attached to each bottom corner of arched front panel 161. Each door slip corner 165 includes a door slip corner edge 166. Each door slip corner edge 166 is not attached to arched front panel 161 and may include an elastic material. Door slip corners 165 may form a pocket to receive the bottom corners of the door for the portable restroom 10.

[32] Arched front panel 161 may include a handle cut out 168 and an occupancy cut out 169 for viewing an occupancy notification. Handle cut out 168 may be configured to provide access to the door handle/hardware for opening the door to the portable restroom. Occupancy cut out 169 corresponds to an occupancy notification for the portable restroom. Occupancy cut out 169 is configured so that the occupancy notification is visible when the slip cover 100 is placed on a portable restroom. Occupancy notifications are generally placed on the door of the portable restroom, but may be in other locations. Occupancy cut out 169 may be placed in the slip cover 100 to correspond with where ever the occupancy notification is placed. Occupancy cut out 169 may also be located in the first side panel 120, the back panel 130, the second side panel 140, the first side front panel 128, and/or the second side front panel 148.

[33] FIG. 4 is a front view of a flat door portion 260 of an alternate embodiment of the slip cover 100 of FIGS. 1-3. FIG. 5 is a back view of the flat door portion 260 of FIG. 4. Referring to FIGS. 4 and 5, flat door portion 260 includes flat front panel 261, flat slip panel 262, door slip corners 265, and one or more door fasteners 264. Flat front panel 261 has a rectangular shape. Flat slip panel 262 also has a rectangular shape. The width of flat slip panel 262 is the same as the width of flat front panel 261. Flat slip panel 262 includes door slip panel edge 267. Door slip panel edge 267 is not attached to flat front panel 261 and may include an elastic material. Flat slip panel 262 forms a door seam 263 with flat front panel 261 across the top of flat door portion 260 and down the sides of flat door portion 260 for the length of flat slip panel 262 to door slip panel edge 267 forming a pocket to receive the top of the portable restroom door.

[34] Door slip corners 265 are attached to each bottom corner of flat front panel 261. Each door slip corner 265 includes a door slip corner edge 266. Each door slip corner edge 266 is not attached to flat front panel 261 and may include an elastic material. Door slip corners 265 may form a pocket to receive the bottom corners of the door for the portable restroom. [35] Flat front panel 261 may include a handle cut out 268 and an occupancy cut out 269. Handle cut out 268 may be configured to provide access to the door handle/hardware for opening the door to the portable restroom. Occupancy cut out 269 corresponds to an occupancy notification for the portable restroom. Occupancy cut out 269 is configured so that the occupancy notification is visible when the slip cover 100 is placed on a portable restroom.

[36] FIG. 6 is an exploded view of an alternate embodiment of the slip cover 100 of FIGS. 1-2. Slip cover 300 includes a top panel 310, a first side panel 320, a back panel 330, a second side panel 340, a first side front panel 328, and a second side front panel 348.

[37] The top panel 310 may be a rectangular or square panel. Top panel 310 may match or have dimensions similar to the roof of a portable restroom. Top panel 310 may include all or some of the features of top panel 110 of FIGS. 1 and 2 including, inter alia, riser vent opening 311, top panel first side edge 314, a top panel back edge 315 adjacent the top panel first side edge 314, a top panel second side edge 316 adjacent the top panel back edge 315, and a top panel front edge 317 adjacent the top panel first side edge 314 and the top panel second side edge 316.

[38] First side panel 320, back panel 330, and second side panel 340 may be rectangular and may include vent openings including First side vent openings 121, back vent openings 131, and second side vent openings 141 respectively. Vent openings are configured to align with air vents of the portable restroom. First side front panel 328 and second side front panel 348 may each be configured to form half of the front of the portable restroom, excluding the shape of the door.

[39] In the embodiment illustrated, first side panel 320, back panel 330, second side panel 340, first side front panel 328, and second side front panel 348 are connected. First side panel 320, back panel 330, second side panel 340, first side front panel 328, and second side front panel 348 may be connected as an integral piece or may be connected by being joined together. The first side panel 320 and the first side front panel 328 are connected at a first side front panel corner 329. First side panel 320 and back panel 330 are connected at a first side corner 322. First side front panel corner 329 may be located opposite first side corner 322 relative to first side panel 320. Back panel 330 and second side panel 340 are connected at a second side corner 343. Second side panel 340 and second side front panel 348 are connected at a second side front panel corner 349. Second side front panel corner 349 may be located opposite second side corner 343 relative to second side panel 340. First side front panel corner 329, first side corner 322, second side corner 343, and second side front panel corner 349 may each be a fold in an integral piece of material or may each be a seam formed from stitching, gluing, or fastening. A fastener such as a hook and loop fastener may be used.

[40] First side panel 320, back panel 330, and second side panel 340 may be connected to top panel 310 in the same or a similar manner as first side panel 120, back panel 130, and second side panel 140. First side panel 320, back panel 330, and second side panel 340 may be connected to top panel 310 with front side panel top edge 324 being connected to top panel first side edge 314, back panel top edge 335 being connected to top panel back edge 315, second side top edge 342 being connected to top panel second side edge 316. First side front panel 328 and second side front panel 348 may also be connected to top panel front edge 317.

[41] First side panel 320 and second side panel 340 may have a rectangular shape. Back panel 330 may have the shape of a rectangle, peakhead, extended half round, an extended full chord, extended ellipse, or other geometric shape.

[42] First side front panel 328 may be a rectangular shape or may have half of the shape of a peakhead, extended half round, an extended full chord, extended ellipse, or other geometric shape. First side front panel 328 extends from first side panel 320 and is configured to cover a portion of the front of the portable restroom adjacent the door of the portable restroom. First side front panel 328 may also include a first side slip corner 326 distal to top panel 310 and first side panel 320. First side slip corner 326 includes first side slip edge 327 that is not joined to the first side front panel 328 forming a pocket that is configured to receive a corner of the portable restroom adjacent the door of the portable restroom. First side slip edge 327 may include an elastic band.

[43] Second side front panel 348 may be a rectangular shape or may have half of the shape of a peakhead, extended half round, an extended full chord, extended ellipse, or other geometric shape. Second side front panel 348 extends from second side panel 340 and is configured to cover a portion of the front of the portable restroom adjacent the door of the portable restroom. Second side front panel 348 may also include a second side slip comer 346 located distal to top panel 310 and second side panel 340. Second side slip comer 346 includes second side slip edge 347 that is not joined to the second side front panel 348 forming a pocket that is configured to receive a corner of the portable restroom adjacent the door of the portable restroom. Second side slip edge 347 may include an elastic band. Second side front panel 348 may also include one or more second side door fasteners 344 opposite second side panel 340.

[44] While the embodiments shown include arched door portion 160 or flat door portion 260, other door portions may also be used. Other door portions may have the shape of a peakhead, an extended full chord, an extended ellipse, or other geometric shapes. The door portion, such as arched door portion 160 or flat door portion 260, may be a separate piece as in FIGS. 1 to 5 or may be an integral part of the slip cover as in FIGS. 7-9 below.

[45] FIG. 7 is an alternate embodiment of the slip cover of FIG. 1 with integral door flaps. FIG. 8 is the slip cover of FIG. 7 with the door flaps in an open position. The top panel 410 first side panel 420, back panel, second side panel, and front overhang 450 may be the same or similar to those in the embodiments illustrated in FIGS. 1 and 2 or in FIG. 6. As illustrated in FIGS. 7 and 8, first side front panel 428 includes a first side front panel seam 427 joining first side front panel 428 to front overhang 450, and second side front panel 448 includes a second side front panel seam 447 joining second side front panel 448 to front overhang 450.

[46] First side front panel 428 includes a first side flap portion 426 and second side front panel 448 includes a second side flap portion 446. First side flap portion 426 and second side flap portion 446 are not joined to front overhang 450 and are configured to fold back to provide access to the door 40 of the portable restroom 10. As illustrated, first side flap portion 426 includes a first side flap fastener 425 and second side flap portion 446 includes a second side flap fastener 445.

[47] First side flap fastener 425 may be configured to fasten to second side flap fastener 445 and to a first side fastener 422. The first side fastener 422 may be located on the first side panel 420 or the first side front panel 428, and may be adjacent the first side front panel comer 429. Second side flap fastener 445 may be configured to fasten to first side flap fastener 425 and to a second side fastener. The second side fastener may be located on the second side panel or the second side front panel 448, and may be adjacent the first side front panel corner 449.

[48] First side flap portion 426 may also include a first side top fastener 424 configured to fasten first side flap portion 426 to front overhang 450. Second side flap portion 446 may also include a second side top fastener 444 configured to fasten second side flap portion 446 to front overhang 450.

[49] FIG. 9 is a plan view of an alternate embodiment of the slip cover 400 of FIGS. 7 and 8. In the embodiment shown in FIG. 9, slip cover 500 has an integral door structure for extending over the door of the portable restroom, rather than a separate door portion. Slip cover 500 includes top panel 510, first side panel 520, back panel 530, second side panel 540, and front overhang 550. Top panel 510 and first side panel 520 are joined at a first side corner 514. Top panel 510 and back panel 530 are joined at a back corner 515. Top panel 510 and second side panel 540 are joined at a second side corner 516. Top panel 510 and front overhang 550 at a front corner 517. First side corner 514, back corner 515, second side corner 516, and front corner 517 may be a fold or a seam. The seam may be formed by stitching or gluing two pieces of material together.

[50] Slip cover 500 also includes a first side front panel 551 extending from front overhang 550 adjacent first side panel 520. First side front panel 551 may be the same length as first side panel 520. In the embodiment shown, first side front panel 551 is directly connected to first side panel 520 with first side front corner 518 extending there between. First side front corner 518 may be a fold or a seam formed by stitching or gluing. In other embodiments, first side front panel 551 is not directly connected to first side panel 520 and includes fasteners to be fastened to first side panel 520. First side front panel 551 may include anchor weight 553 located near an edge of first side front panel 551.

[51] Slip cover 500 may also include a second side front panel 552 extending from front overhang 550 adjacent second side panel 540. Second side front panel 552 may be the same length as second side panel 540. In the embodiment shown, second side front panel 552 is directly connected to second side panel 540 with second side front corner 519 extending there between. Second side front corner 519 may be a fold or a seam formed by stitching or gluing. In other embodiments, second side front panel 552 is not directly connected to second side panel 540 and includes fasteners to be fastened to second side panel 540. Second side front panel 552 may include anchor weight 554 located near an edge of second side front panel 552.

[52] Slip cover 500 may include elastic 555 extending across the edge of front overhang 550 opposite front corner 517. Elastic 555 may extend partially down the edge of first side front panel 551 opposite first side front corner 518 from front overhang 550 and may extend partially down the edge of second side front panel 552 opposite second side front corner 519 from front overhang 550.

[53] The slip cover of any of the embodiments disclosed herein may be form fitted to accommodate the size of a portable restroom structure. The dimensions of the slip cover may be sized based on the dimensions of the portable restroom structure. The slip cover may be placed over the exterior surface of the portable restroom structure through strategically placed seams, reliefs, vents, and fasteners. Elastic may be attached to or placed around the bottom of the slip cover including the first side panel, the back panel, and the second side panel to hold the slip cover in place over the portable restroom. Each seam may be a fold, a crease, may be sewn, or may be glued. In one embodiment, the top panel, the first side panel, the back panel, the second side panel, and the front overhang are constructed using separate pieces of material and sewn together forming seams there between.

[54] Referring to FIGS. 1 and 2, the slip cover 100 may be simple to install and may be installed by a single individual. In the embodiments illustrated, body portion 105 is placed over the portable restroom with top panel 110 on top of the portable restroom 10 and the riser vent opening 111 aligned with the portable restroom riser vent 50. First side panel 120 and second side panel 140 may be allowed to let fall and drape into place along each side of the portable restroom 10 with first side vent openings 121 and second side vent openings 141 aligned with vents on the sides of the portable restroom 10. Back panel 130 may also be allowed to let fall and drape into place along the back of the portable restroom with back vent openings 131 aligned with vents on the back of the portable restroom. Both first side panel 120 and second side panel 140 may then be fastened to back panel 130.

[55] Arched door portion 160 is placed over the door of the portable restroom 10. The arched slip panel 162 may form a pocket with the arched front panel 161. The pocket may be placed over the top of the portable restroom door. The door slip corners 165 may slip over or be anchored to the bottom corners of the portable restroom door. The elastic of the door slip corner edge 166 may hold the arched door portion 160 in place over the portable restroom door. The arched door portion 160 may also be hung using fasteners or other methods of attachment. In embodiments with a non-integral door portion, the door portion is fastened to second side panel 140. Other shapes/styles of door portions, such as flat door portion 260 may be secured to the door of portable restroom 10 in the same or in a similar manner.

[56] First side fasteners 122, back first fasteners 132, back second fasteners 133, second side fasteners 143, second side door fasteners 144, door fasteners 164, and the like may be a fastener or a component of a fastener, such as clamps, clips, hook and loop, zippers, buttons, hook and eye, snap, or any other type of fastener. For example, back first fasteners 132 may correspond to the first side fasteners 122 and may be paired together such that one is the hook component and the other is the loop component of a hook and loop fastener. First side fasteners 122, back first fasteners 132, back second fasteners 133, second side fasteners 143, second side door fasteners 144, door fasteners 164, and the like may also be a ring embedded in the material of the given panel. A fastener, such as a rope, a zip tie, a bolt, and the like may be passed through two rings paired together to join adjacent panels.

[57] The slip cover in the embodiments disclosed herein may be placed by a single person and may be stable and may resist displacement once placed. The slip cover may camouflage or disguise the portable restroom structure and may soften the negative visual effects of the portable restroom. The slip cover may protect the portable restroom from ultraviolet light, water, and stains. The slip cover may be a single use or multiple use cover and may be recyclable. The slip cover may be a fabric material. The fabric material may be natural materials or synthetic material such as non-woven and woven polyester, polypropylene, polyethylene, cotton, wool, vinyl, leather, nylon, or like materials and combinations thereof. The fabric material may be of any color or combination of colors. The mesh material may also be a fabric material and may be of any color or combination of colors.

[58] The slip cover may also be used for demonstration such as advertising, logos, or themes. Referring to FIG. 1, the slip cover 100 may include a graphic 190. The graphic 190 may be applied directly to the slip cover 100 or may be applied to a separate piece of material that is attached or otherwise fastened to the slip cover 100. The graphic 190 may be applied to a portion of one of the panels or doors as illustrated in FIG. 1, or may be applied to the entire slip cover 100. The graphic 190 applied to a portion of one of the panels or to the door may be an advertisement or a logo, such as a graphic representing a sponsor of an event or a graphic for the event. The graphic 190 applied to the entire slip cover 100 can be used for a selected theme or can be used to camouflage/disguise the portable restroom.
