Abstract:
A portable scanner has reading means (11) coming into contact with a surface (10a) of
a sheet (10) and reading information (10b) on the surface (10a) through relative movement
of the sheet (10), and also has sheet feeding means (12) for moving the sheet (10)
while holding it between the sheet feeding means (12) and the reading means (11).
One end of a gap (h) provided between the reading means (11) and the sheet feeding
means (12) and holding the sheet (10) between them is open.
