Abstract:
Provided is a portable wireless device having high water/dust resistance without deteriorating robustness and antenna characteristics, while having reduced dimensions.
A portable wireless device (100) has a first case member (11) and a second case member (15), which is bonded onto the circumference of the opening of the first case member (11) with a flexible seal member (13) therebetween, and houses, inside of the case, a circuit board (19) having an antenna element (17) connected to the inside of the case. The seal member (13) has an annular structure, which has a first extending portion (35) composed of a nonconductive material, and a second extending portion (37), which is connected to both the ends of the first extending portion (35) and has the conductive material contained at least in a part of the second extending portion function as an antenna element, a passive element or a ground wire. In the seal member (13), the hardness of the first extending portion (35) and that of the second extending portion (37) are substantially the same.
