Abstract:
Disclosed is a portable wireless device which exhibits excellent portability, can be small in size and is capable of closed calls, has a reduced SAR level and is capable of a widened bandwidth. The disclosed device is provided with: a housing which forms the exterior of the portable wireless device; a circuit board which is disposed in the housing; an antenna element which is arranged close to one short-side of the circuit board; and a metal plate which is connected to at least one long-side and the antenna element side of the circuit board, along the side wall of the housing, with the side of the metal plate that is not connected to the circuit board being open.
