Abstract:
The disclosed POS cash register includes: a scanner section that reads item codes on items to be purchased by a customer; an item number counting section that counts the number of items of which the respective item codes have been read by the scanner section; and a message informing section that informs an operator of a message prompting the operator to provide the customer with help if the number of items-to-be-purchased counted by the item number counting section exceeds an upper-limit value at the time of checking out the items-to-be-purchased.
