Abstract:
The present invention relates to a point-of-sale (POS) system to effect payment transactions, the POS system comprising a bottom body unit (10) containing a memory module (1) and an upper body unit (9) containing a main board (11) such that the memory module (1) and the main board (11) communicate when the upper and bottom body unit (9, 10) are assembled to each other. The present invention more particularly relates to a control unit embedded within the memory module (1) of the POS device to protect stored fiscal information therein against unauthorized access.
