Abstract:
A position adjustment device for an electric steering wheel according to the present invention allows the position adjustment of a steering wheel (1) to be carried out smoothly and stably. An engagement recess (19a) of a moving piece (16a) that moves in the forward and backward directions using an electric motor (56) as a drive source has a cylindrical concave inner peripheral surface. A cylinder part (65) of a transmitting member (17a) that transmits the motion of the moving piece (16a) to a steering column (5b), has a cylindrical convex outer peripheral surface. The cylinder part (65) is inserted into the engagement recess (19a) with the cylindrical spacer (72) therebetween. The cylindrical spacer (72) has a cylindrical convex outer peripheral surface and a cylindrical concave inner peripheral surface.
