Abstract:
In order to make it possible to adjust the relative positional relationship between an image pickup lens and an image pickup element with high precision in a short period of time, a position adjustment device includes: an image pickup element rotating/holding part (101) that causes an image pickup element (202) to be held at any of three or more rotational angles; a relationship acquisition part (103) that acquires the relationship between the rotational angles and contrast in images picked up at the rotational angles, respectively, as to each of a plurality of points or areas in the images; a line approximation part (104) that approximates the acquired relationship at each of the points or the areas by using approximation lines; and an image pickup element adjustment part (105) that rotates the image pickup element (202) so that the rotation angle corresponds to a position at which a plurality of approximation lines coincide with one another.
