Abstract:
Position control devices that have a speed control system in a minor loop and a position control system in a major loop are difficult to adjust so as to ensure a high level of responsiveness. This position control device includes a disturbance observer which receives a current command and an angular velocity detection value, and estimates signals corresponding to the disturbance torque. The position control device further includes a change rate limiting unit having a limiter which receives the values output by the disturbance observer and limits the rate of change of the upper and lower limit values of an angle command. The upper value of the change rate limiter is determined by subtracting the absolute value of the output from the disturbance observer from the rated maximum drive torque, dividing the result by the motor inertia and the proportional gain of a position control unit. The lower value of the change rate limiter is determined by adding the rated maximum regenerative torque and the absolute value of the output from the disturbance observer, multiplying the result by the sampling period, and then dividing the result by the motor inertia and the proportional gain of the position control unit.
