Abstract:
Provided are a position detection device and a position detection method capable of acquiring a ratio of the output voltage of a plurality of hall elements so as to eliminaprocédé et dispsitif de détection de positionte irregularities of temperature characteristics and an error caused by a longitudinal-direction fluctuation. If hall voltage Vhe1 of a hall element (22a) has become A K Bhe1 (A is an amplification ratio of a preamplifier (32), K is a constant, and Bhel is a magnetic flux density applied to the hall element), a PI regulator (41) automatically changes the bias point of the PI output so as to obtain A K Bhe1 + Vref = AGND (=0) by feedback control. The hall voltage Vhe2 of the hall element (22b) after the amplification is A K Bhe2. Since K = -Vref/A Bhe1, the hall voltage Bhe2 of the hall element is –Vref Bhe2/Bhe1. The hall voltage is proportional to the magnetic flux density and accordingly, this is equivalent to division of the output voltage of the hall element (22a) and the hall element (22b).
