Abstract:
Provided is a position detection device that is capable of highly accurately determining whether a user has mistaken which elevator to ride. A position detection device (6) according to the present invention is provided with: a first detection unit (36) that detects the position of a user carrying an information terminal (4) in an elevator lobby on the basis of a terminal ID of the information terminal (4), which carries out wireless communication with a communication device (8) provided to the elevator lobby where it is possible to get on or off one of multiple elevators (1); a second detection unit (37) that detects the position of the user in the elevator lobby on the basis of images taken of the elevator lobby and an appearance ID corresponding to the appearance of the user; and a determination unit (38) that determines whether the user has mistaken which of the elevators (1) has been allocated in response to the user's call, on the basis of the position detected by the first detection unit (36) on the basis of the terminal ID, and the position detected by the second detection unit (37) on the basis of the appearance ID associated with the terminal ID.
