Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a detection sensor whereby cost can be reduced. [Solution] A position detection sensor (1) characterized by being provided with: an excitation coil (20) in which a magnetic path (25) is formed on a periphery and in an inside thereof in which a winding (21) is wound, and the magnetic path (25) narrows from one end toward another end of the excitation coil (20); and a detection coil (12) inserted in the magnetic path (25) from either the one end or the other end and supported so as to be able to advance and retreat along a movement path in the magnetic path (25), an induced electromotive force (V) being generated therein by reception of a magnetic field formed by the excitation coil (20). This position detection sensor (1) has the excitation coil (20) and the detection coil (12) as main constituent elements thereof, and the cost of the position detection sensor (1) can therefore be reduced.
