Abstract:
The present disclosure addresses the problem of improving the accuracy of position detection. This position detection system comprises: a coil and a magnet; a magnetic sensor (4); and a shield member (5). The coil and the magnet relatively move in a first direction due to magnetic interaction. The magnetic sensor (4) detects positions of relative movement with respect to the coil and the magnet. The shield member (5) is made of a soft magnetic body. The magnetic sensor (4) includes a first magnetoresistive element (41) and a second magnetoresistive element (42). The first magnetoresistive element (41) includes a first magnetosensitive surface (411). The second magnetoresistive element (42) includes a second magnetosensitive surface (421) and is connected in series with the first magnetoresistive element (41). The magnetic sensor (4) is aligned with the magnet in a second direction. The first magnetoresistive element (41) is arranged so that the first magnetosensitive surface (411) faces the shield member (5).
