Abstract:
A position detection system (1) comprising a first marker (4) generating a first
alternating magnetic field having a first position calculation frequency by
receiving power supply externally, a second marker (3) mounting a magnetic induction
coil (5) having a resonance frequency identical to a position calculation frequency,
a section (13) arranged on the outside of the operation range of the second marker
(3) and detecting the magnetic field at the first position calculation frequency,
a section (24) for extracting a first detection magnetic field component having
the first position calculation frequency and a phase identical to that of the
first alternating magnetic field from the detected magnetic field, and a position/direction
analyzing section (22) for calculating at least one of the position and direction
of the first marker (4) based on the strength of the first detection magnetic field
component thus extracted.
