In the disclosed position-detection system, a computation device (30) is provided with: a storage unit (34) that successively stores received electric-field strengths obtained by receiving terminals (20); and a position-calculation unit (35) that calculates the position of a transmitting terminal (10) on the basis of the received electric-field strengths stored in the storage unit (34). For each receiving terminal (20), the position-calculation unit (35) is used to select, from among the received electric-field strengths stored in the storage unit (34), the highest received electric-field strength obtained during a target time period used for terminal-position calculation. The position-calculation unit is then used to calculate the position of the transmitting terminal from said highest received electric-field strengths.
