Abstract:
This position detection system (10) is provided with receivers (20a-20g) that compose a wireless mesh network and with a gateway device (30). Each of the receivers (20a-20g) is provided with a reception unit (22), transmission unit (23), and control unit (24). When a reception unit (22) of a receiver (20a-20g) receives a beacon, the control unit (24) of the receiver (20a-20g) generates first reception information including information indicating the signal strength of the received beacon and identification information for the receiver and transmits the first reception information from the transmission unit (23). If the reception unit (22) receives second reception information from another receiver, the control unit (24) forwards the second information. If the receiver (20g) connected to the gateway device (30) receives second reception information generated by another receiver, the receiver (20g) sends the received second reception information to a server (34) via the gateway device (30).
