Abstract:
This position estimation device comprises: a position estimation unit (106) that estimates the present location coordinates for the position estimation device (10); an instructed direction detection unit (1091) that detects an instructed direction, being a direction instructed by a user using the position estimation device (10); an instruction target object detection unit (1092) that detects an instruction target object instructed by the user, on the basis of the instructed direction detected by the instructed direction detection unit (1091); an uneven distribution calculation unit (110) that specifies as an uneven distribution area, at a prescribed time immediately prior to the instruction target object being detected by the instruction target object detection unit (1092), an area wherein positions indicated by the instructed direction detected by the instructed direction detection unit (1091) were present for at least a threshold time period and wherein the instruction target object is not present, and calculates an uneven distribution direction, being a direction relative to the uneven distribution area specified from the position of the position estimation device (10) at the prescribed time; and a position correction unit (111) that corrects the present location coordinates, using the calculated uneven distribution direction.
