Abstract:
A position estimation device (10) comprises a first acquisition unit (120), a second acquisition unit (140), a superimposition unit (160), and a first estimation unit (180). The first acquisition unit (120) acquires sets of point cloud data at a plurality of timings, the sets of point cloud data being obtained by a sensor mounted on a mobile object. The second acquisition unit (140) acquires information on movement of the mobile object. The superimposition unit (160) generates superimposed point cloud data that is obtained by superimposing the sets of point cloud data at a plurality of timings on one another on the basis of the movement information. The first estimation unit (180) estimates the position of a target by using the superimposed point cloud data.
