Abstract:
This position estimation method includes: the acquisition of learning data from a storage medium for storing learning data, which includes a list of a plurality of measured values which define the waveform characteristics of a first electrical signal outputted from a sensor device when a rotor is rotating; the sequential acquisition of a list of a plurality of detected values which define the waveform characteristics of a second electrical signal outputted by the sensor device when the rotor is rotating; the estimation of the relationship between the rotation positions of the rotor when the first and second electrical signals are outputted, by performing matching between the list of the plurality of measured values and the list of the plurality of detected values; and the determination of the mechanical angle of the rotor in each divided region, on the basis of the rotor rotation speed and the elapsed time from the front of the divided region associated with the current mechanical position of the rotor.
