Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a position measurement system and a position measuring method which can measure the position of a moving body such as a forklift with high precision. [Solution] The position measurement system according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises a plurality of identifiers, an image capture unit, and an information processing device. The plurality of identifiers are set so as to have predetermined orientations at predetermined positions on a travel surface for a moving body, and are provided with different first identification information. The image capturing unit is attached to the moving body, and is configured to be able to capture an image of at least one of the plurality of identifiers. The information processing device comprises: an image processing unit which, by processing the image captured by the image capture unit, extracts the first identification information for an identifier in the image and second identification information about the relative position relationship between the moving body and the identifier in the image; and a measurement unit that measures the position of the moving body on the travel surface on the basis of the first and second identification information.
