Abstract:

This position recognition device recognizes the current position of a moving body, and is provided with a recording unit, a determination means, and a current location determination means. The recording unit records map data including information of banking provided to roads. The determination means determines whether or not the road the moving body is traveling is banked on the basis of the banking information in the map data. When the road being traveled is banked, the current location determination means recognizes the current location on the map on the basis of the map data.
