Abstract:
This position sensor comprises: a detection unit (122) which generates a plurality of detection signals having different phase contrasts and which correspond to a plurality of ranges aligned in one direction along the direction of movement of the detection object, on the basis of changes in the magnetic field received from the detection objects, as a result of movement of the detection objects (200, 202, 203) which are made from magnetic material; and a signal processing unit (123) which acquires a plurality of detection signals from the detection unit, compares the plurality of detection signals with a threshold value, and specifies the position of the detection objects as the position of one of the plurality of ranges on the basis of the combination of the size of the plurality of detection signals and the threshold value.
