Abstract:
A positioning device for sheet material has a pair of left and right side guides (11, 11) which are provided movably independent of each other with regard to a direction normal to a feeding direction of sheet material and also rotatably independent of each other on a horizontal plane, a pair of left and right front gauges (12, 12) and a pair of rear gauges (13, 13) which are provided at forward and backward positions with regard to the feeding direction of sheet material and also movably independent of each other in said feeding direction and upward and downward direction. In such an arrangement as stated above, by adjusting independently and individually the movement of the side guides (11, 11), front gauges (12, 12), and rear gauges (13, 13), centering and positioning of sheet material having any shape are possible.
