Abstract:
A positioning and fixing device capable of increasing positioning accuracy for positioning a fixed object relative to a base body, allowing a reduction in manufacturing cost by reducing the number of parts, and capable of maintaining high positioning accuracy and stable clamped state even when the device is repeatedly used for a long period. The positioning and fixing device (3) comprises a positioning mechanism (13) having an annular tapered surface (40) formed on the outer peripheral part of a cylindrical shaft part (10b) for horizontally positioning a work pallet (1) and reduced in diameter toward the axial tip side of the cylindrical shaft part (10b) and an annular engagement part (41) formed on the inner peripheral part of an annular engagement member (11) engageably with the annular tapered surface (40) and elastically deformable in the radial direction by the engagement thereof with the annular tapered surface (40). The engagement part (41) further comprises a tapered ring part (50) allowed to come into surface contact with the annular tapered surface (40) and a plurality of ribs (51) arranged continuously with each other from the tapered ring part (50) to the radial outer side.
