Abstract:
A positive lock mechanism having a compression spring rod (10) with a housing (24), a rod member (22) having an inner end (22b) the housing and an outer end (22a) axially outwardly of a housing end. One or more compression springs (28,30) extend between a guide member and an end of the housing. A positive locking mechanism (100) is provided to prevent movement of the rod member in a longitudinal direction. The lock mechanism is controlled by a wire and a cable assembly (142) operated by a lever (144).
