Abstract:

Disclosed are a positioning method and a mobile device. The method is applied to a mobile device, and comprises: periodically detecting the state of the mobile device, the state of the mobile device including a driving state and a walking state; upon detecting that the number of continuously occurring driving states reaches a number M, positioning the mobile device using a first positioning algorithm, M being an integer greater than 1; and upon detecting that the number of continuously occurring walking states reaches a number N, positioning the mobile device using a second positioning algorithm, N being an integer greater than 1. By implementing the technical solution, the state of a mobile device can be accurately determined, and a positioning algorithm matching the real state of the mobile device is used to position the mobile device, thus improving accuracy of the positioning result.
