Abstract:
A positioning method, comprising: acquiring signal data generated by an optical fiber structure (101) when a target object moves within a target region, the fiber structure (101) comprising one or more sensing fibers, and the sensing fibers being disposed in the two-dimensional plane of the target region according to one of the following topology types: a cross type, an S-type, a block type, and a square grid-like type; calculating optical fiber parameters corresponding to the signal data; and querying, according to the calculated optical fiber parameters, a pre-established correlation between the optical fiber parameters and two-dimensional coordinates in the target region, and determining the two-dimensional coordinates of the target object. Further disclosed is a positioning system. Positioning of an object in a two-dimensional plane is realized by means of the optical fiber sensing technology, having no radiation, avoiding interference, not requiring wearing labels, avoiding maintenance, and having a long service life.
