Abstract:
A positioning system (100) and method for a monorail train, the positioning system (100) comprising: a first beacon (10), the first beacon (10) being laid on one side of an uplink track; a second beacon (20), the second beacon (20) being laid on one side of a downlink track, the first beacon (10) and the second beacon (20) not being laid opposite to one another; a first beacon antenna (30) and a second beacon antenna (40), the first beacon antenna (30) being arranged in a position at the front of the monorail train, and the second beacon (40) being arranged in a position at the rear of the monorail train, the first beacon antenna (30) and the second beacon antenna (40) being arranged at two opposite ends of the monorail train; and a positioning apparatus (50), the positioning apparatus (50) being used for acquiring beacon data read by the first beacon antenna (30) and beacon data read by the second beacon antenna (40) and, on the basis of the beacon data read by the first beacon antenna (30) and beacon data read by the second beacon antenna (40), determining the running direction and positioning information of the single rail train.
