Abstract:
Provided are a positive electrode active material for a lithium ion secondary cell capable of suppressing a rise in the internal resistance inside a cell associated with the charge-discharge cycle, a positive electrode containing the positive electrode active material, and a lithium ion secondary cell provided with the positive electrode. For this purpose, contained is a lithium composite compound represented by Li1+αNixCoyM1
1–x–y–zM2
zO2+β, and when porosity of opening diameter 0.6 µm or less measured using the mercury press-in method is defined as Pi, and porosity of opening diameter 0.6 µm or less after inputting to a mold of diameter 10 mm and pressing with a load of 40 MPa measured using the mercury press-in method is defined as Pp, the value of Pp/Pi is 1.5 or less.
