Abstract:
The present invention relates to a positive electrode active material for lithium secondary batteries, which is characterized by being a lithium composite metal oxide that contains secondary particles where primary particles aggregate. This positive electrode active material for lithium secondary batteries is also characterized in that the secondary particles have voids inside and the number of void cross-sections per 1 μm2 is from 0.3 to 15 (inclusive) in cross-sections of the secondary particles.
