Abstract:
The present invention relates to a positive electrode active material for a secondary battery, the positive electrode active material comprising: a lithium composite transition metal oxide containing nickel (Ni), cobalt (Co), and at least one selected from the group consisting of manganese (Mn) and aluminum (Al); and a composite coating portion formed on the particle surface of the lithium composite transition metal oxide, wherein the lithium composite transition metal oxide has a nickel (Ni) content of 65 mol% or more in the total content of transition metals therein; and the composite coating portion contains cobalt (Co), boron (B), and at least one selected from the group consisting of lanthanum (La), titanium (Ti), and aluminum (Al).
