Abstract:
The present invention pertains to a positive electrode active material for a secondary battery, the positive electrode active material being a lithium composite transition metal oxide containing nickel (Ni), cobalt (Co), and manganese (Mn), wherein nickel (Ni) constitutes at least 60 mol% of the metals other than lithium in the lithium composite transition metal oxide, a coating layer is formed on the surfaces of the particles of the lithium composite transition metal oxide, and the coating layer contains a lithium-polymer compound formed through a reaction of a lithium by-product and a polymer.
