Abstract:
Provided is a novel high voltage, high capacity positive electrode active material for a sodium-ion secondary battery. The positive electrode active material for a sodium-ion secondary battery is characterized by comprising a crystal represented by the general formula Nax(Co1-aMa)yP2Oz (wherein, M is at least one type of transition metal element selected from a group consisting of Fe, Cr, Ni and Mn, x satisfies 0.6≤x≤4, y satisfies 0.3≤y≤2.7, and 0≤a≤0.9 and 6≤z<7.5 hold true).
