Abstract:
This positive electrode (10) for air batteries comprises: a catalyst layer (11) constituted of a porous layer that comprises conductive carbon (1), a binder (2), and a catalyst ingredient (3); and a liquid-tight gas-permeable layer (12) constituted of a porous layer that comprises conductive carbon (1a) and a binder (2). The liquid-tight gas-permeable layer has been united with the catalyst layer. With such configuration, it is possible to facilitate serial connection of air batteries while inhibiting the electrolytic solution from leaking out through the positive electrode. As a result, the production efficiency and handleability of air batteries can be heightened.
