Abstract:
Disclosed in the present invention is a positive electrode material for a high-power lithium ion battery. Said positive electrode material is a secondary particle having a hollow microsphere structure. The outer shell part of the secondary particles is formed by gathering several primary particles. The particle has a uniform size, a loose and porous surface and a high specific surface area. In addition, the obtained particles have regular shapes, and the material has a stable structure, a higher rate performance and an excellent cycle property. Also disclosed in the present invention is a preparation method for said positive electrode material, comprising the following steps: (1) using a coprecipitation method to synthesize a NixCoyMz(OH)2 precursor, wherein the central part of the precursor consists of minute particles, and the shell part consists of large particles having a particle size larger than that of the minute particles; (2) uniformly mixing the precursor and a lithium salt, adding an oxide of a doping element when mixing, and then performing sintering, so as to obtain a LiaNixCoyMzO2 positive electrode material. The preparation method has a simple process and low costs, and can be used for industrial production.
