This positive electrode material has, in X-ray diffraction (2θ=5°-90°) that uses radiated light having a wavelength 1Å, diffraction peaks located at 2θ = 13.1°±0.2°, 14.0°±0.2°, and 18.4°±0.2°, and has a monoclinic crystal structure belonging to a space group P21/c. The positive electrode material is represented by composition formula Li2-2xCo1+xP2O7 (-0.2≤x≤0.2).
