Abstract:
Provided is a positive-electrode material that is used in the positive electrode of a nonaqueous-electrolyte secondary battery and provides both high capacity and high output. Also, a method for manufacturing a positive-electrode material for a nonaqueous-electrolyte secondary battery, said method being characterized by the mixing of lithium tungstate with a lithium-metal complex-oxide powder that can be represented by the general formula LizNi1−x−yCoxMyO2 (in which 0.10 ≤ x ≤ 0.35, 0 ≤ y ≤ 0.35, 0.97 ≤ z ≤ 1.20, and M represents at least one added element selected from among manganese, vanadium, magnesium, molybdenum, niobium, titanium, and aluminum) and comprises both primary particles and secondary particles comprising aggregated primary particles.
