Abstract:
The present invention provides a positive electrode that is stable in high-potential states and/or high-temperature states, and a secondary battery. Also provided are a positive electrode having excellent cycle characteristics, and a secondary battery. This positive electrode has a positive electrode active substance and an electrically conductive material. At least a portion of the surface of the positive electrode active substance is covered by the electrically conductive material. The positive electrode active substance has a lithium cobalt oxide containing magnesium, fluorine, aluminum, and nickel. The lithium cobalt oxide has, on the surface part, a region having the greatest concentration of one or a plurality of magnesium, fluorine, and aluminum. The electrically conductive material has carbon. The electrically conductive material is preferably one or more selected from carbon black, graphene, and a graphene compound.
