Abstract:
Provided is a positive electrode for a non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery comprising a positive electrode mixture that includes a positive electrode active material and an adhesive having a polymer structure derived from vinylidene fluoride, the ATR-IR spectrum of the positive electrode mixture having an α peak that belongs to an α-crystal of the polymer structure in a wavelength range of 760-764 cm−1, and a β peak that belongs to a β-crystal of the polymer structure in a wavelength range of 838-842 cm−1, and the maximum absorption intensity H(α) of the α peak and the maximum absorption intensity H(β) of the β peak satisfying the relationship 0.2≤H(α)/H(β)≤5. This makes it possible to improve the capacity retention of the non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery while retaining the capacity when a ferroelectric substance is used.
