Abstract:
The invention relates to watercrafts (1), which include post (2) used in watercrafts (1), which reduces the impact of waves, improving the watercrafts (1) stability and is used to reduce the pitch motion of the watercraft (1). The invention is particularly relevant to including but not limited to sea transportation, travel, tourism, freight transportation, and military vessels and can be used in all kinds of watercrafts (1), reducing pitch motion caused by waves to the watercraft (1) and eliminating the impact which is endangering the navigational safety of the watercraft (1) due to this effect, and using the post (2) to increase the travel comfort and safety of the watercraft (1).

Claims:
CLAIMS

1. The invention is a watercraft (1) such as sea transportation travel and tourism vessels,. passenger- cargo-vehicle transport vessels, military watercraft, commercial and private boats. The aforementioned watercraft (1) is characterized by the inclusion of post (2) positioned below of the bow (4) in the watercraft (1) purposed to increase the stability of the watercraft (1) and prevent the watercraft (1) from excess pitch motion and dampening the waves to reduce the impact of the incoming waves to the watercraft (1) .

A watercraft (1) according to Claim-1; the aforementioned watercraft (1) is characterized by the inclusion of the routing area (3) used to allow the 'waves that carried temporarily above the post (2) to be evacuated before the waves reach the deck (5) at the point where the bow (4) and the post (2) are converged at the junction of the front .

3. A watercraft (1) according to Claim-1; the aforementioned watercraft (1) is characterized by the production length of the post (2) is longer than the length of the watercraft (1) in order to dampen the waves coming to the watercraft (1) away from the watercraft (1) .

4. A watercraft (1) according to Claim-1; the aforementioned watercraft (1) is characterized by the structure of the post (2) becomes more narrow in its width starting from the bow (4) towards the tip of the post (2) in order to break the waves coming to the watercraft (1) away from the watercraft (1) and achieve necessary speeds in emergencies

A watercraft {!) according to Claim-1; the aforementioned watercraft (1) is characterized by its ability to use the weight of the water that is carried temporarily above the post (2) to decrease pitch motions when the wave line (6) rises above the post (2) during waves presence. 6. A watercraft (1) according to Claim-1; the aforementioned watercraft (1) is characterized by the increase in length to width ratio by inclusion of the post (2) while preserving the concave tilt of the main structure and forming a continuous curve.

POST IN WATERCRAFTS USED FOR SEAKEEPING PERFORMANCE

SUMMARY

The present invention relates to the form of afore watercraft of a watercraft . The form of the fore will provide a bow that, due to its distinct form, is less susceptible to pitch motions and high fuel costs due to high sea conditions.

The present invention is able to be utilized by any type of watercraft including but not limited to cruise ships, container ships, bulk carrier ships, commercial watercraft, personal watercraft, or naval watercraft . The present invention relates to usage of the post to lower the area above water to increase the watercrafts security and comfort without compromising the deck's security by allowing the waves to reach the deck

PREVIOUS METHODS

In previous methods due to the exposed area that is above the waterline, the watercraft has trouble with its seakeeping performance in rough seas .

In previous methods due to the aerodynamic structure of the current watercraft, watercraft is not able to attain high speeds in emergencies . This delays the watercraft from reaching ashore and might result in loss of life and property.

In previous methods due to the height of the board in low board watercrafts the problem of waves reaching the deck is present . In previous methods, the types of bows vary the clipper bow is among the older and more common types of bow. One of the main reasons for the bow types to differ is the entrance angle of the bow to the wave during pitch motion which has a great effect on travel speed and safety. In previous methods, the common response to this effect is to have high board heights. When the watercraft is traveling against the waves in rough seas these high board heights causes pitch motion to the watercraft .

Example watercraft as shown in Figure — 4 when utilizing previous methods, does not have the problem of waves reaching the deck due to its high board height however this high board height makes the watercraft susceptible to pitch motion.

In previous methods, watercrafts are more prone to pitch motion therefore watercrafts with previous methods have higher fuel costs.

In previous methods watercrafts have a lower length to width ratio compared to the watercrafts utilizing post therefore in previous methods there are higher fuel costs. As a result, the previous methods with the problems stated above revealed the necessity to create an improvement for safe, comfortable, fast-moving, and stable course in the relevant technical field.

PURPOSE OF THE INVENTION The present invention aims to increase the performance of the watercraft in various areas by implementing POST under the bow of the watercraft .

The purpose of this invention is to neutralize the effects of waves before reaching watercrafts deck utilizing the POST.

Another purpose of the invention is to increase the watercrafts area under the sea and decrease the area above the sea in order to decrease the effect of waves (pitch motion) and improve stability.

Another purpose of the invention is to increase the watercraft's ability to pierce the waves to improve performance and prevent tremors.

Another purpose of the invention is to increase the watercraft's ability to pierce the waves to improve speed performance .

Another purpose of the invention is to increase the watercraft's ability to pierce the waves to decrease the resistance of the watercraft, improving fuel efficiency.

Another purpose of the invention is to increase the watercraft's length to width ratio while preserving the concave curvature thus increasing fuel save.

Another purpose of the invention is to evacuate the water before reaching the deck while on course.

Another purpose of the invention is by decreasing the pitch motion to decrease the speed loss which is caused by the watercrafts impact with the water upon reentry to the waves when traveling from wave crest to wave trough, subsequently, this impact upon reentry causes the watercraft to further travel underwater which causes incremental increases in the pitch motion since the invention lowers pitch motion which prevents the watercraft from reaching the crest of the wave this effect and speed loss is prevented.

Another purpose of the invention is to utilize the weight of the water that has been carried temporarily by post to be used as a counter-balance to the effect of the waves to increase stability and further decrease pitch motion . The gain in pitch motion reduction which results in fuel save and speed performance caused by water further outweighs the effect of speed loss caused by the weight of water. Overall the water weight carried temporarily contributes to the seakeeping and speed performances of the watercraft .

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION WITH REFERENCE TO THE

The subject of the invention is the watercraft (1) ; the bottom of the bow (4) contains a post (2) connected by the routing area (3) . The elements that make up the watercraft (1) are shown in detail in Figure-1 and Figure-2.

The invention is used to reduce the pitch motion effect by using post (2) in watercrafts (1) .

The invention is used to increase the length to width ratio by using post (2) in watercrafts (1) .

The invention helps the watercraft (1) as such; when cruising towards the waves, the presence of the post (2) reduces pitch motion effect caused by the scattered lifting force of the waves, and the weight of 'water temporarily taken in the area above the post (2), due to low board height of the post (2), helps to decrease the effect of pitch motion caused by the current above water surface volume. The routing area (3) and bow (4) are utilized to evacuate the water taken into the area above post (2 ) . Thus, the water taken above the post (2) contributes to reducing the pitch motion effect, and thereafter water is evacuated before it reaches the deck (5) and the main lasage areas of the watercraft (1) , The subject of the invention is when the watercraft (1) is coursing towards the wave in wavy sea conditions, when the wave line (6) rises above the post (2) as seen in Figure-3 this results that some water volume is carried above the post temporarily, the weight of this water taken on the Post (2) helps reduce pitch motion effect of the watercraft (1), when the watercraft (1) continues its course, water above the post (2) is evacuated with the help of routing area (3) and bow (4) before the watercrafts (1) deck (5) and main usage areas.

The subject of the invention the post (2) is added below the bow (4) in the watercraft (1) that is subject of the invention. The subject of the invention the post (2) added to the watercraft (1) to maintain the inner concave tilt of the main body of the watercraft (2) and create a continuous curve and increase the length to width ratio. The routing area (3) has been created between the bow (4) and the post (2) i.e. the breakwater. The routing area (3) is indented, and thanks to this indentation, the waves that are able to pass above the post (2) are evacuated before they reach the bow (4) . Water on the post (2) of the watercraft (1) has been prevented from reaching the watercrafts (1) deck (5) or main usage areas of the watercraft (1) by having a routing area (3) and a bow (4) on the watercraft (1) , In this way, the possibility of failure of the watercraft (1) has been reduced and time, manpower, and maintenance and repair costs have been reduced.

The initial process that lessens the effects of the waves is provided with the post (2) against the waves that contact the watercraft (1) during its course. As a result of the first lessening, reduced-effect waves are lessened again in the bow (4) and routing area (3), while at the same time being evacuated from the relating area (3) and bow (4) . In this way, the waves are prevented from reaching the deck (5) . By creating the post (2) longer than the length of the watercraft (1), dampening the wave by hitting the post (2) first from a far point than the watercrafts (1) deck (5) and ensuring that the watercraft (1) is stable on the surface of the water. Again, thanks to the length of the post (2) part of the watercraft { 1 ) and increasing the surface area underwater, the watercraft (1) has increased the ability to move rapidly even in bad weather conditions. Fuel savings have been achieved by increasing the wave effect lessening capability of the watercraft (1) and reducing the resistance of water to the watercraft (1) during its course.

In summary of the invention; invention aims to improve watercrafts (1) used in sea transportation, travel and tourism vessels ability to lessen the effects of waves and improve the stability of the watercraft (1) during its course and to prevent the pitch motion of the watercraft (1) with the help of post (2) positioned below the bow (4) . The routing area

(3), which are created by indenting at the point where the bow (4) and post (2) converges at the junction, the routing area (3) is used to ensure that the waves that are taken above the post (2) are evacuated before reaching the deck (5) . In order for the waves coming towards the watercraft (1) to dampen away from the watercraft (1), the post (2) length is produced to be longer than the length of the watercraft (1) . Again in order to provide the ability that the waves coming to the watercraft (1) are dampened far from the watercraft (1) and that watercraft can move rapidly in emergencies, the post (2) has a narrowing (width-wise) structure starting from the bow (4) towards the tip of the post (2)
