Abstract:
Provided is a posture control device which prevents a vehicle that banks when traveling on a curve from skidding. A posture control device is provided with a lateral acceleration sensor (34) for acquiring a lateral acceleration that is an acceleration in a right-left direction acting on a vehicle of a motorcycle (1), a bank angle detection unit (46) for detecting the bank angle of the vehicle, and a longitudinal force control unit (32) for, on the basis of the acquired lateral acceleration and the detected bank angle, reducing the absolute value of longitudinal force that is the sum of forces in a front-back direction acting on a front wheel (8) and a rear wheel (23) independently in the respective wheels (8, 23). Posture control is performed by acquiring the lateral acceleration by the lateral acceleration sensor (34), detecting the bank angle of the vehicle by the bank angle detection unit (46), and, on the basis of the lateral acceleration and the bank angle, reducing the absolute value of longitudinal force that is the sum of forces in the front-back direction acting on the respective wheels independently in the respective wheels by the longitudinal force control unit (32).
