Abstract:
Provided is a posture retainer that can retain the posture of a seated person by the shape thereof being changed to fit the back of various seated persons and the shape being maintained. A posture retainer (10) is disposed between a backrest (4) of a chair (3) in which a seated person (1) is sitting and the back (2) of the seated person (1), deforms to fit the shape of the back (2) by air being supplied while the backrest (4) is being reclined or brought erect, and maintains the shape of the back (2) by a back-facing part (12) that faces the back (2) being in contact with the back (2) and air being discharged when the backrest (4) stops.
